“Buildings are far and away the worst thing humans do to the environment,” said Rob Watson, NRDC senior scientist and a chair of the LEED program.

“All of the buildings in the U.S….[are] the leading human-induced cause of global warming.”

“Buildings also consume 80 percent of the nation’s drinking water and 2 million acres of forests and farmland each year.”

The LEED Certified Building

1. 0 emissions.
2. 0 water use.
3. 0 board feet of timber harvested.
4. 0 annual energy usage.
5. Easily transportable to take advantage of crop rotations. No farmland is taken out of production.


The LEED certified building is is both energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Government encouraged sustainability is the key to protecting our children’s future.
