Barack Obama explains in an interview with Rush Limbaugh how he is expanding the American Dream to effect hope and change. It is really quite inspiring. Go take a look!
[Most people] do believe that, if they work hard, they should be able to achieve that small measure of an American dream. – Barack Obama,
Cannibal in Chief Christian Chief
It is important to note that in these difficult times, Obama is downsizing some dream, to “that small measure”, LOL. He knows how to economize! I wonder which dream he really means when he says “an”.
If you’re willing to put in the work, the idea is that you should be able to raise a family and own a home, not go bankrupt because you got sick, ’cause you’ve got some health insurance that helps you deal with those difficult times; that you can send your kids to college; that you can put some money away for retirement.
Those words should be printed on a beautiful holiday card.
I’m dreaming of a dream where everyone has got some health insurance. That’s the idea. What an idea! In the dream, you should also be able to do these other things, if you put in the work: raise a family, own a home, send kids to college, save for retirement.
The coup de grace:
Folks don’t have unrealistic ambitions.
You put in the work, and you reproduce; we’ll raise your children in public schools, we’ll mortgage your home through Fannie Mae, the kids will go to a state sponsored school with loans from Sallie Mae, you’ll live out your aged years collecting Social Security, your health care will be covered throughout, and the process will repeat with those kids of yours who will have to pay interest on all the money we printed to pay for it.
That is the kind of ambition worth cultivating! And since all aspects of the American dream are provided for, there is no ambition whatsoever left. No cultivation required, just a little encouragement and some annual public service messages. Replenish the earth. In-fucking-credible, isn’t it? Believe it.
An American Dream: Cannibalism promises a home for every hard-working American. Food, clothing, shelter, health care, reproductive opportunities, and a timely retirement guaranteed. Expansion underway.
